Recipe: Gingerbread Crunch Bliss Balls

Packed full of flavour and natural sweetness, these bliss balls taste just like gingerbread.

An energising snack for any time of the day! Perfect to grab on the go, keep a batch in the freezer for busy days.

 

Makes 10-12

Total time: 20 minutes

Vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup (50g) oats (certified gluten free, if needed, or buckwheat)
  • 1/2 cup (30g) almond meal
  • 3 tbsp buckwheat
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/2 tbsp organic orange zest
  • Coconut flour, to roll

 

Method:

1. Soak dates in hot water for 10 minutes to soften.

2. Add all ingredients except coconut flour to a food processor and blend until a ‘dough’ forms.

3. Roll into golf ball sized balls, coat in coconut flour and pop into the fridge or freezer to firm.
