All courses start on the corner of Hay Street and William Street, right in the heart of the CBD.
You should aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before your event so you have enough time to find your start group and use the bag drop services if needed.
You’ll have an allocated start area that corresponds to the colour of your participant bib.

Public transport is free for all HBF Run for a Reason participants until 3pm and is the easiest way to get to and from the event.
Your race bib is your ticket to ride free, and there will be additional services running to cater for crowds.
For travel between the start and finish lines, free shuttle buses depart approximately every 10-15 minutes from Perth Busport to Gloucester Park and return, from 7.45am until 11.30am.

Get ready for DJs with all the right tunes to hype you up along the course plus face painting and glitter at the start line, and multi-cultural-themed entertainment throughout the course – from Capoeira dance to Brazilian style drumming.
Finish line celebrations include music, giveaways, food trucks, and more stand-out entertainment! Stretch and warm down at the Snap Fitness Recovery Zone or enjoy some R&R courtesy of the HBF Massage Zone.
As part of your registration you will receive a HBF Run for a Reason pack which includes the iconic t-shirt and participant bib with in-built timing chip.
Your HBF Run for a Reason pack can be can be posted to you directly or collected at HBF Stadium during the below times. You can choose your preferred option when registering for the event.

Don’t forget to bring a copy of your confirmation e-ticket (either printed or on your smart phone), this is required in order to collect your pack. Your e-ticket will be emailed to you from Monday 15 May.
You can also collect packs on behalf of teammates, friends and family, just make sure to bring their e-ticket!

There are two options for your belongings, drop them off to us before the event and we send it to the finish line or drop it off for storage during the event. At both options clear bags will be provided for you to put your belongings into them.
For security reasons we won't accept any backpacks as the contents in the bags will need to be clearly visible – please bring a collapsible bag instead. Event organisers will do everything they can to look after your belongings but accept no responsibility for their security so please leave any valuables at home.
Delivery to finish line
Before event day, you can drop your belongings at Pack Collection.
We'll transport it to the finish line so it's ready for you to pick up after the event.
All bags must be collected from the finish line by noon on event day.
Forrest Place storage
You can drop your items at the City of Perth Bag Drop area located in Forrest Place (start line) from 6am on event day - just remember that you'll have to collect them from here too by 12:30pm on event day.
No bags from the Forrest Place start area will be transported to the finish line.
Safety
There are first aid stations at the start line in the CBD, on-course, and at the finish line at Gloucester Park. All drink stations on-course will have a first aid station and these can be located on the course maps on the distance pages. If there is an emergency and you are not nearby a first aid station, call 000.
Accessibility
The HBF Run for a Reason course is fully accessible and there are wheelchair-access drop-off areas at the start line on: Milligan Street, Wellington Street, and Barrack Street. Refer to the start line map here.
Stay warm at the start line by wearing a jacket, jumper or coat you’re happy to donate! You’ll find Vinnies in 6 locations on the day near your starting area, just look out for the Flick your Kit signage.
Make sure to remove any personal items e.g. mobile phones, wallet before you pop your jumper or jacket aside - and please don’t wear/bring any garbage bags or plastic as these can become a serious tripping hazard.
Remember once you flick it, it’s collected, along with approximately two tonnes of garments and taken straight to sorting facilities at Vinnies.

Once the Run's over, kick back and relax with your crew in your own private finish line marquee, complete with a catered brekkie. Overlooking the finish line, you can choose from package options to suit teams of all sizes and budgets (minimum 10 people). All you'll have to worry about is cheering on your mates as they cross the finish line!
