Volunteers are the heart of the event with hundreds of volunteers required to bring the event to life.

You can learn new skills, extend your social circle, have a greater sense of trust and belonging and gain satisfaction out of your achievements - all of which contributes to happiness and good mental health. Volunteering is a great way to be involved in the spirit of the day, so be a part of the movement and register today.

FAQs bout volunteering at HBF Run for a Reason

Where do I get my volunteer pack?

As a valued volunteer, you will each receive a pack including event information, a t-shirt and hat for the day. You will receive an email letting you know when and where you can pick up your pack.

What to do in an emergency?

If at any time you witness an incident or accident in or around your immediate volunteering area, we would like you to report it.
Or if anyone approaches you requiring assistance or wanting more information about the event, we would like you to contact us. You will receive more information and a lanyar with contact numbers on event day.

Where do we meet on event day?

You will receive specific information about your role and meeting point prior to event day. Please wear your volunteer t-shirt on the day.

How can I get my volunteer forms signed (school/university)?

Forms can be signed by an area supervisor at the end of your shift. Please bring a pen and all the necessary forms required.

How do I get to Gloucester Park?

You can get to Gloucester Park early in the morning by car, please see the attached map for information about the volunteer car park. Another option is public transport, which is free of charge for volunteers, however you might have to walk from McIver station to Gloucester Park. For public transport options please go to the Transperth website.

What do I wear?

Please be aware that you will need to prepare yourself for any weather conditions. Please match your teal volunteer t-shirts with black pants or shorts (black exercise gear is appropriate). Comfortable enclosed shoes are also a must!
