Recipe: Chocolate thick-shake

A creamy, decadent thick-shake that’s packed full of nutrients and filling fibre.

This makes the perfect post-run recovery snack, as it replaces fluids and protein after a workout!


Serves 1

Total time: 10 minutes

Vegetarian, vegan (optional), dairy free (optional), gluten free, refined sugar free



  • 1 frozen banana
  • 100g frozen steamed zucchini
  • 2 tbsp chocolate plant based protein powder (or cacao powder)
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds 
  • ½ cup  milk of your choice (e.g. almond, soy or reduced fat cow’s milk)



1. Blend until super smooth and creamy.

2. Spoon into a jar and add a handful of your favourite homemade granola!
