Recipe: Chocolate Raspberry Oats

A rich bowl of breakfast goodness that will keep you energised for hours.

This dreamy combination of cacao and raspberries is an antioxidant powerhouse that tastes like dessert!

 

Serves 1

Total time: 10 minutes (plus soaking time)

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free

 

Ingredients:

  • ⅔ cup oats (certified gluten free, if needed, or quinoa flakes)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup nut milk
  • ½ mashed banana
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp choc plant based protein powder (optional)
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries 
  • ½ apple, chopped
  • 1 tbsp nut butter

 

Method:

1. Combine oats with cacao, chia, nut milk and mashed banana, and leave to soak overnight in the fridge.

2. In the morning, give it a good stir (stir in protein powder, if using) and spoon into a bowl.

3. Top with chopped apple, raspberries and nut butter.

Serve!
